About

From Tunis. To the world.

I'm Rami Rouini — software engineer, entrepreneur and digital nomad. Full-time remote since 2019, with a decade of businesses rooted in Tunis behind me and a 4×4 being built for what comes next.

Portrait of Rami Rouini

I grew up in Tunis, in a family that took commerce seriously — the kind of household where a good deal was as respected as a good education. That's where the taste for building started.

I trained as a software engineer, and code is still the thread through everything: the booking flows, the marketplaces, the game builds, the trading tools. In 2019 I went full-time remote with a Japanese company — working another continent's calendar from a Tunis desk, with the ventures still running alongside it. That year settled the thesis: the work travels, and some of the best opportunities live at the seam between economies — Tunisian craftsmanship and world markets, family-run heritage and modern digital operations, a fixed team at home and a founder who can be anywhere.

Today I run nine ventures, ship software, invest in a small handful of other companies, and share what I learn along the way. What comes next is a longer road: Asia to scout the next business, a Nissan Patrol Y60 built for the desert, and a crossing south from Tunis into Africa. This site is the front door; the journal is the log.

Away from the desk: I DJ. House music is the soundtrack to most of my life — long sets, deep grooves, and the occasional 3am studio session. When I'm not behind the decks, I'm gaming.

The Journey

A timeline, roughly.

  1. 2013
    First venture in Tunis

Started a small auto parts import operation while still studying software engineering.

  2. 2016
    Expansion into service

Opened a service arm — the first taste of running an operations-heavy business — and kept shipping code on the side.

  3. 2019
Full-time remote, for a Japanese company

Joined a Japanese company as a full-time remote software engineer — another continent, another working calendar, and the proof that the work travels. The Tunis ventures kept running alongside it with a local team.

  4. 2021
    Pipeline Studio launched

Started consulting founders across MENA and beyond on scaling operations — later expanded into game development and producing.

  5. 2023
    Rare Souk online

Launched a curated marketplace for North African antiques and collectibles.

  6. 2024
    Clothing label

Released a small-batch fashion line blending Mediterranean tailoring with the minimalism you learn living out of one bag.

  7. 2026
    Personal hub

Consolidated all ventures under one operator brand — the site you're on.

  8. Next
Asia, a Nissan Patrol, and the road south

A scouting trip to Asia for the next business, a Y60 rebuilt for the desert to photograph Tunisia city by city, and eventually a crossing south from Tunis into Africa.

Principle

Operator, not guru

I sell results, not seminars. Every framework here has been used on my own money first.

Principle

Long-term over loud

I prefer businesses that compound quietly to businesses that trend loudly.

Principle

Borderless by default

Every venture is designed to travel — built in Tunis, run from anywhere, sold to the world.
