Why Asia, and why now

The first adventure is a scouting trip across Asia to find the next business and a new breath. Why Asia, what I am looking for, and how I will decide the route.

The first adventure on the list isn't the truck. It's a scouting trip to Asia — to find the next business, and to give myself a new breath after a decade of building from one place.

Why Asia

Every business I run grew from the same instinct: go where the making happens, then connect it to a market that values it. Tunisia taught me that. Asia is the obvious next classroom — deep manufacturing, enormous software talent, and a pace of business I want to feel in person rather than read about.

I've also spent seven years working remotely for a Japanese company. I know Asian work culture from a screen. It's time to know it from the street.

What I'm looking for

  • Makers and suppliers for Stronger Gym and SOS Auto Parts, met face to face instead of over email.
  • A software product worth building — a problem I can see from the inside and solve with a small team.
  • Partners who already work across borders and know where the real friction is.
  • Ideas I haven't had yet. That's what the "new breath" is for.

How I'll choose the route

I haven't fixed the countries yet, and I'd rather choose them by criteria than by postcards:

  1. Where the manufacturing and supplier networks I need actually are.
  2. Where software and startup communities are active and open to visitors.
  3. Where remote work is practical — visas, connectivity, cost of living. (Yes, I'll be using NomadOS for this.)
  4. Where I can meet people, not just visit places.

How I'll share it

Honestly. The ideas that work, and the ones that turn out to be wrong. Every stop gets an entry here, and the plan itself lives on the next adventure page.

If you build, buy or manufacture in Asia and think we should talk, get in touch.
