What can go wrong.
Total loss of capital
Crypto assets can and do go to zero. Never allocate money you cannot afford to lose entirely, including funds needed for living costs, debt service or business operations.
Extreme volatility
Double-digit daily drawdowns are normal in this asset class. Position sizing shown in any commentary reflects a personal risk tolerance that may be far higher than yours.
Liquidity & counterparty risk
Exchanges, custodians, bridges and stablecoin issuers can fail, freeze withdrawals or be hacked. Self-custody carries its own risk of irrecoverable key loss.
Regulatory risk
Rules covering crypto, cross-border transfers and capital controls change quickly and differ sharply between Tunisia, Canada, the EU and the US. A product legal in one may be restricted in another.
Currency risk
Commentary spans the Tunisian dinar and Canadian dollar. FX moves can erase or amplify a nominal gain, and dinar convertibility is subject to local exchange controls.
